*世界の生物多様性の保全における先住民族の管理の重要性は、いくら強調してもし過ぎることはありません。この方法論は、生態系と、これらのかけがえのない生態系を直接保護している人々の双方に利益をもたらします。特筆すべきは、自主的生物多様性クレジット（VBCs）の発行であり、これによりいかなる形態の相殺も明示的に認められません。さらに、複雑な科学的定量手法も採用せず、IPLCコミュニティの自律性と完全性を損なうことなく、直接的かつ即時の行動を確保しています。*
