# 指標種の観察
指標種の観察には、一次データ（音声録音、動画、または写真）、日時スタンプ、および十進度形式のジオコードが必要です。

なお、ゲームカメラに関する衛星テレメトリーのような自動取得データは、ほとんどのIPおよびLCプロジェクトにとって費用が過大です。したがって、大多数のプロジェクトでは、観察記録にジオコードおよび日時スタンプのメタデータを付与するため、信頼できる人手によるコーディングが必要になります。ただし、これは炭素量の定量化における炭素研究の要件と本質的に異なるものではなく、プロジェクトデータに対する独立したIEP分析およびIEP現地訪問によって担保されます。
