# التنوع البيولوجي في خط الأساس (اختياري)

غنى الأنواع، وتوصيف النظام البيئي، والأنواع المتوطنة، وغيرها من مؤشرات النظام البيئي المحلي

قد لا تكون البيانات المتعلقة بغِنى التنوع البيولوجي متاحة ضمن تصنيف النظم البيئية. وإذا كانت متاحة للمشروع، فينبغي إدراجها. 

غير أن ISBM لا يتطلب تصنيفًا كاملًا للتنوع البيولوجي، بل يتطلب فقط تحديدًا واضحًا للأنواع المؤشرة التي تعترف بها كلٌّ من الشعوب الأصلية والعلماء على مستوى العالم بوصفها أنواعًا مؤشرة مميزة. 

وحيثما أمكن، يجب أن تستند المشاريع إلى المصادر المتاحة للجمهور لوصف غِنى الأنواع والأنواع المستوطنة للمجموعات التصنيفية التالية: جميع الأنواع المحددة من الأشجار، والنباتات الوعائية، والبرمائيات، والزواحف، والطيور، والحشرات، والثدييات، والأسماك، والفطريات.
