# وصف المشروع

يُحدِّد وصف المشروع بياناتٍ خاصة بالموقع، ومولَّدةً من المشروع، وتكون فريدةً بالنسبة إلى النظام البيئي، وكذلك بالنسبة إلى الشعوب الأصلية و/أو المجتمعات المحلية التي تنفِّذ المشروع. 

ترتبط حسابات أرصدة التنوع البيولوجي ارتباطًا وثيقًا بوجود الأنواع المؤشِّرة داخل حدود المشروع، وبالامتداد، بوجود نظام بيئي محفوظ، لا من أجل الموئل فحسب، بل من أجل جماعات التنوع البيولوجي أيضًا. 

وعليه، لا تُكافَأ المشاريع على الأنشطة، أو على التوقعات، بل على النتائج، وعلى أساس سنوي مستمر.
