# Deskripsi umum

Tujuan, cakupan, sasaran, dan batasan metodologi kredit keanekaragaman hayati

Metodologi ini ditulis agar mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat umum dan untuk menyediakan kerangka kerja bagi proyek yang ingin menerapkan VBC. Metodologi ini memberi panduan dan contoh di tingkat proyek tentang cara menerapkan metodologi keanekaragaman hayati. Tujuannya adalah untuk menambah mekanisme konservasi global keanekaragaman hayati dengan memperkenalkan atau mengikuti unsur-unsur berikut: 

* Kepatuhan pada [Prinsip](/methodology/id/deskripsi-proyek/prinsip.md) kelengkapan, keandalan, konservatisme, konsistensi, bukti, akurasi, dan transparansi.
* Bergantung pada data publik yang dapat diverifikasi untuk karakterisasi ekosistem ([penilaian garis dasar](/methodology/id/penilaian-garis-dasar.md)).  
* Penyederhanaan yang disengaja atas data primer yang diperlukan dari suatu proyek ([deskripsi proyek](/methodology/id/deskripsi-proyek.md)) untuk penyertaan IP dan LC.
* Sebuah [Unit](/methodology/id/perhitungan/perhitungan-unit.md) yang interoperabel untuk pemberian kredit keanekaragaman hayati yang cocok dengan baik dengan proyek lain. 
* Otomatis [Perhitungan](/methodology/id/perhitungan.md) dari VBC ISBM menggunakan perangkat lunak sumber terbuka. 
* Kredit dapat digunakan untuk sertifikasi dan penjualan komoditas, atau hanya sebagai MRV untuk pendanaan berbasis hasil.
