# Batasan

Batasan metodologi kredit keanekaragaman hayati berbasis spesies indikator

Metodologi ini tidak bertujuan untuk mengukur keanekaragaman hayati secara penuh di area pemberiannya. Sebaliknya, metodologi ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan metrik proksi yang adil, transparan, dan dapat digunakan untuk konservasi zona ekologis yang diketahui sebagai target bernilai tinggi bagi kesehatan planet. 

Walau metodologi ini dapat menunjukkan perluasan ekosistem yang dikonservasi saat spesies langka dan terancam memperluas habitat serta aktivitasnya, metodologi ini tidak boleh digunakan untuk menunjukkan kenaikan integritas ekosistem (perbaikan ekosistem yang rusak). Hal ini akan masuk ke metodologi lain yang idealnya dapat saling beroperasi dengan kami [Unit](/methodology/id/perhitungan/perhitungan-unit.md).

Metodologi ini tidak dirancang untuk digunakan untuk satu spesies tertentu. Sebaliknya, proyek dianjurkan untuk mengumpulkan data dari sebanyak mungkin spesies yang memenuhi syarat untuk menunjukkan ekosistem yang utuh dalam banyak kerajaan taksonomi.
