# 지표종 무결성 점수
지표종 무결성 점수는 해당 종 고유의 특성으로서, 자연생태계 내에서의 진화된 생태적 지위, 그에 대한 민감성, 그리고 자연생태계가 결여될 경우의 취약성을 반영합니다. 이는 공공 데이터 및/또는 전통 생태지식을 바탕으로 산정됩니다.
ISBM은 온전한 생태계를 나타내도록 설계되었으나, 쉽게 모니터링할 수 있는 일부 지표종은 자신이 발견되는 생태계를 충분히 대표하지 못할 수 있습니다. 오염된 체계에서도 생존할 수 있는 종은 무결성 점수가 더 낮습니다. 그러한 종을 식별하는 경우에는 해당 종이 완전히 온전하지 않은 생태계에도 존재할 수 있으므로, 부분적 크레딧만 부여됩니다. 다만, 더 대표성이 높은 종은 모니터링이 어려울 수 있습니다. 지식이 충분하지 않거나 자원이 부족한 원주민(IP) 및 지역 공동체(LC) 모니터를 위해 방법론을 민주화하고자, 완전한 데이터가 없는 경우에도 이상화되지 않은 관측을 대체적으로 활용할 수 있도록 하는 지표종 무결성 점수를 도입하였습니다.
예를 들어, 많은 IP는 재규어보다 타피르를 더 쉽게 발견할 수 있으며, 아마존 전역의 많은 원주민 국가에서 이는 토테믹 동물로 여겨집니다. 그러나 이는 온전한 생태계를 완전히 대표하지는 못하므로, 무결성 점수는 0.5가 됩니다.
목록을 생성한 후 [이용 가능한 지표종](/methodology/savimbo-indicator-species-biodiversity-method-ko/baseline-assessment/indicator-species-selection.md)에 대해서도 생태계를 대표할 수 있는 능력을 기준으로 0-1.0 범위의 무결성 점수로 순위를 매겨야 하며, 1.0은 생태계를 완전히 대표할 수 있는 능력을 의미합니다. 이러한 점수는 [무결성 산정](/methodology/savimbo-indicator-species-biodiversity-method-ko/calculation/value-calculations.md) 에 사용되며, 이용 가능한 경우 공공 데이터로 뒷받침되어야 하고, 그렇지 않은 경우 전문가 의견에 근거해야 하며, 해당 프로젝트에 배정된 VVB의 검토를 받아야 합니다.
