# 한계

본 방법론은 크레딧 산정 지역 내 생물다양성을 완전히 정량화하는 것을 지향하지 않습니다. 대신 지구 건강을 위한 고가치 대상지로 알려진 생태 구역의 보전을 위한 공정하고 투명하며 활용 가능한 대체 지표를 제시하는 것을 지향합니다. 

본 방법론은 희귀종 및 멸종위기종이 서식지와 활동 범위를 확장함에 따라 보전된 생태계의 확장을 보여줄 수는 있지만, 생태계 온전성의 개선(훼손된 생태계의 개선)을 보여주는 데 사용되어서는 안 됩니다. 이러한 사항은 원칙적으로 본 방법론과 상호운용이 가능한 다른 방법론의 적용 범위에 속합니다. [단위](/methodology/savimbo-indicator-species-biodiversity-method-ko/calculation/unit-calculations.md).

본 방법론은 특정 종의 활용을 위해 설계된 것이 아닙니다. 대신 프로젝트가 가능한 한 많은 적격 종으로부터 데이터를 수집하여 여러 분류학적 계에서 온전한 생태계를 입증하는 것이 권장됩니다. 

보전된 생물다양성을 위한 독립적 지표로서, 본 방법론은 토양, 대기, 물, 탄소, 형평성을 포함한 다른 중요한 생태자산과 적층하거나 묶어 활용하도록 설계되었습니다. 다만 생물다양성의 존재로부터 온전한 토양, 물 및 탄소 흐름의 존재를 추론할 수는 있으나, 본 방법론은 그 범위를 벗어나는 특정 생태학적 지표를 필요로 하는 이러한 추론의 정량화에는 사용되어서는 안 됩니다.<br>
