# BCP的时间界限
BCP的时间边界必须在PDD中明确界定。仅可就这些边界所确定期间内的保护成果签发VBC。VBC可追溯计发，见下文。
时间边界是基于在生物多样性丧失背景下开展长期保护的需要，同时兼顾原住民（IP）和当地社区（LCs）在合同安排上的审慎态度、复杂系统中预测的科学局限、可接受的市场定价，以及生物多样性本身的根本非永续性。
本方法学的编写旨在允许基于指示物种持续存在的证据进行年度计发，而非基于假定的未来状态。时间边界由六个不同时期界定（[图5](https://isbm.savimbo.com/methodology/zh-cn/xiang-mu-miao-shu/xiang-mu-bian-jie/pages/5e24a3884213f8bb70d7c121c19f154d19d00d6a#figure-5.-temporal-delimitation-of-the-bcp)).
* **BCP起始日期：** 首批实地行动启动之日，该行动导致了保护成果。若项目活动有充分记录且已构成有效且主动的保护，则可追溯至PMP核准前5年。
* **历史期：** 生态系统功能、本地指示物种以及生物多样性丧失驱动因素已被特征化的时期。该时期不应少于项目起始日期前5年，并应针对所述CBD活动予以说明。
* **基线期：** 对代理因素和驱动因素、生态系统数据以及指示物种公开数据开展变化监测的时期。基线重新评估每5年进行一次，并且
* **BCP期限：** 现行保护合同的时间范围（年）。最长为30年的合同在1年后可予解除。这30年可分为三个连续的10年认证期。若无干预情况下的生物多样性损失预测在该期间可作可选估计，因数据可能稀缺且此类预测具有科学局限性。该期间的起始年份应与项目起始日期一致，即首次BCP干预在该领土内实施之年。
* **结果期（VBC计发期）**：BCP活动及其行动结果按指示物种观测数据进行监测的时间范围（年）。该期间长度等于项目活动持续时间，且不得少于1年。
* **核证时间：** 结果期内依据指示物种观测数据对VBC签发予以认证／核证的时段。基线重新评估每5年进行一次，且相邻两次核证之间允许的最大间隔为3年。
